TASTING NOTES  This limited production early Kalamata has intense pepper on the finish and is highly astringent, with notes of arugula, green tea, apple peel and rose petal. The combination of picking the fruit at an extremely low green maturity index (early harvest) and minimal processing resulted in high phenol content and the highest amount of Oleocanthal we have ever seen at 453.2 ppm. Last year this antioxidant powerhouse took 1st place overall in the Worlds Healthiest Olive Oil Competition and 1st place in the Oleocanthal Category!

TASTING NOTES  Lecciana, a new olive cultivar of Italian descent is a cross between Arbosana and Leccino. It has confectionary notes in the center, low bitterness and a nice pepper finish. This oil is on the delicate end of the medium spectrum with a nice malty nose.

TASTING NOTES  The Sicilian Nocellara is complex with unique savory and sweet fruit notes and a pleasant creamy mouth feel. A lingering pepperiness builds in the back of the throat followed by delayed astringency signifying the healthy Oleocanthal content present in fresh oil, although this production contains little to no bitterness making it a superbly balanced oil. True to its variety characteristics from last year but kicked up in pungency, it displays savory and sweet fruit notes of green apple/apple peel, sweet berry, stone fruit and slight confectionary flavors with delayed peppery sensations and a lingering spicy mouth feel.

We have had many requests for this as the HP Chetoui is moving super fast. Note that outside from the highest phenol content, the Alpha tocopherol (the form of vitamin e in olive oil) amount  is the highest we have seen in some time if ever,  at 557.8 ppm. The range in general is: 150-300 ppm.

TASTING NOTES  This extraordinarily high phenol Organic Chetoui registers the highest phenol count of the season and is among the highest in the world utilizing the official recognized method. It displays bitterness and delayed and significant pepperiness signifying the healthy antioxidant content. We’ve dubbed this pungent example a “3 cougher”. Contains malty flavors and notes of green almond and green tea.
